Working within the existing Nesbitt Academy at Buncombe County Schools Central Office, the new Music and Classroom facilities required a solution that combined a delicate balance of spatial efficiency and sound isolation techniques. The product of a previous master plan for the facility by Native Forms Architecture, this project rendered a creative space that will accommodate a variety of uses and provide flexible programming opportunities for students at this high school academy. Completed inside an active campus and within the available budget and resources, this project displayed the fruit of effective long range planning and technical design strategies to create a highly functional space in a minimal footprint.
