This project design involved the successful collaboration of several stakeholder groups and an integrated design build team. Working early to evaluate multiple sites and building systems, the team identified a site on the Mayland Community College campus and pre-engineered metal building system to develop a 10,000 square foot facility to house public reception, office, and a host of animal services functions. While the financial impact of hurricane Helene has prevented this project from proceeding currently, the work done to knit together stakeholder input and program requirements will serve as an important basis for the future development of this project.
